Aluminum nozzle coupling with brass female threads
- much less likely to gall or grit lock.
A pair of aluminum Quick Disconnect couplers joining two lengths of blast hose.
Tank Coupling - for the outlet of the grit valve.
Aluminum TC, 1-1/4" ISB-1): P/N 753262
Brass TC, 1-1/4": P/N 753272
1½" NPT. (SB2 - tapered threads): P/N 4214-408
1½" NPS. (SB25 straight threads): P/N 4214-408-01
Tank couplings also available in nylon plastic (Inquire)
Switch rapidly between the best nozzles for the job at hand.
This QC nozzle arrangement also saves the nozzle from being ruined, which happens when assembling with threads that aren't completely free of dust and grit.
An NCVB-Style Quick Disconnect threaded onto a standard nozzle with 1-1/4" threads.
Aluminum: P/N 753252
Plastic: P/N SBN-50-NY
Adapter to go from a 50mm Coupling to a 1-1/4" threaded nozzle. P/N 2913964
A Banana nozzle adapts to a 1/2" Blast Hose using a
P/N 650-31 small nozzle coupling, good for nozzles with 3/4" threads.
Adapt a small, flexible 1/2" hose whip to your heavier duty blast hose or grit valve with P/N 219000 QC coupling.
Adapter to go from a 50mm Coupling to a 3/4" threaded nozzle (such as this banana nozzle). P/N 2913964
(Also available as 1-1/4" to 3/4" as P/N 2958539)

Parts for 1/2-Inch Direct-Pressure Blast Hose Assembly
"Whip Check" prevents hose from whipping if accidentally de-coupled. Essential safety gear for use with both air hose and blast hose. P/N 27WC-15.
AC-1 Safety Clip - essentail for every connection. QC couplings come with safety clip, screws & gasket.
Inspect couplings and blast hose daily for splits, bubbles, soft spots, wear, etc. The safety clip (AC-1) must be in place to prevent disconnection of quick couplings. Use Whip Checks.
Be sure to cut the ends of the blast hose absolutely square and fully seat the hose into the coupling until it bottoms. Make sure screw heads are snug against coupling surfaces. When assembling Empire couplings to blast hose use only #8 x 5/8” long, self-tapping, sheet-metal screws (P/N 554232) for cast brass and aluminum couplings and #8 x 3/8” long, self-tapping, sheet-metal screws (P/N 554242) for all steel couplings. Use of other types of screws may create a safety hazard. Screw must bottom out without breaking through to inside of blast hose.
The nozzle washer must make firm contact with the end of the blast hose. Nozzle washers must be in good condition. Abrasive will find voids and deficiencies and cause failure of improperly assembled blast hoses. If in doubt contact our service personnel, and purchase pre-assembled hose.
Blast hose will wear out surprisingly fast if the nozzle has worn oversize. Save maintenance, materials, and energy by checking the blast nozzles for wear with our Nozzle Orifice Gauge P/N 8402-000-17.
Warnings, assembly & maintenance tips...
Not this way! Don't use screws that pierce the interior of the blast hose.
