Building a Better Blast Hose

BlastPrep.com introduces a new section on blast hoses and accessories for direct-pressure blasting operations.

Here you'll find flexible new options for your blasting repertoire.

You'll also find a chart of part numbers to help you get the the right parts, right off.

Photos (taken in my travels) show actual applications - and how blast hose components can be fitted with surprising and useful features.

For instance, one common complaint is that the blast hose is both too heavy and not flexible enough to access "tight" areas. Using the photos, charts and most importantly, the part numbers, you can build your own extension hose whip.

Not sure what hose size is best? That information is there for you, too.

A link is provided so you can email me your parts list. Ask and I'll offer recommendations. And Dawson-Macdonald can get your order processed quickly, usually the same day.

As always, let me know if you have other suggestions or recommendations. BlastPrep is a community forum, and it feels good to share my knowledge to help end my customers' frustration, while making them more aware and productive.

You'll find the new page under the BLAST TECH tab, along with a Compressed Air Chart and OSHA requirements. Check it out. See it now by clicking here.
